RFID for Mold and Die Management
 Mold and die identification, modification, and usage data are critical to the efficiency, quality and operation of today’s metal forming and stamping processes. Hard-wired identification solutions are prone to damage, miss-identification and breakage when dies are installed and used and do not provide a means of storing data with the mold or die. With Balluff’s industrial RFID, all this data can be stored with the die or mold and the data read is transferred to a control system automatically every time the mold or die is used. This prevents costly damage due to improper matching or poor quality from excessive use without upkeep.
